Who writes, how we test and where the money comes from.

Who writes here

Elke Wouters has written about Belgian gambling sites since 2018 and tries everything first-hand paying particular attention to the maths behind bonuses. Base: Leuven.

An affiliate fee sits on the outbound links; what we write is independent of that fee. A missing licence is never left unsaid.

How we test. we register like any other player, start with a deposit of our own money, file a withdrawal request and measure it through to the account. Licence status is verified directly with the Gaming Commission and recalculate the wagering requirement ourselves. Anything that could not be checked is cut at the final edit.

Weekly limit, age bar and exclusion

The rules on player protection here run more firmly than players tend to expect and you notice it at signup. By default €200 per week per site may go in. Downwards it goes without an intermediate step, raising it needs a check and a waiting period.

Self-exclusion in Belgium is handled centrally, through EPIS: whoever registers is barred everywhere immediately, online as well as offline. The register is not public. Since 1 September 2024 the minimum age is 21 for casino, gaming hall and betting; lottery products are the exception at 18. It applies online and on-site.
